Hi everyone! I'm Rei Sandy. I'm an English teacher in Aichi, Japan.
I'm from Japan and America. I was born and raised in Kasugai Japan, went to an international school, graduated from the Evergreen State College in Olympia Wa, moved back to Kasugai in 2013 and have been working as an English Language Teacher for young learners and University students since 2018.
Today's 2026, April, 6th.
I start my new teaching year tomorrow.
My goal's this year are to contiune learning and using teaching approaches and methods to help with students' learning English in a variety of contexts. I focus on the communicative language method in ensuring that there's context, pragmatic uses, and, hopefully, motivational incentives when teaching English as a Foreign Language (English with low context and not a lot of time with the language).
I'm interested in using even more songs, games, content, and subjects when learning English through different countries' cultures and subcultures that bring people from the around the world together over a hobby, event, food etc.
My interests are digital culture, electronic music, computers, playing soccer/futsal, going out to eat, going to bookstores, and going to secondhand shops.
