Children can learn from parents. We can help them tap into their hidden richness of memories and imaginations as we grow with them. How? By storytelling, of course. Often than not, as parents we are often surprised initially to see that our young children really like to do make up stories out of themselves, but yet little do we come to realise that to meet their creativity
. It’s how families, cultures, and communities share information, values, emotions, hopes, and beliefs. Under usual circumstances, telling stories, reading aloud compelling children’s literature, and planning opportunities for children to create and share their own stories are things teachers do daily. A bedtime routine is essential for getting any child to sleep through the night consistently.
