今日は少し自分のことをお話ししますね。
昨年、「特発生過眠症」の再発を経て、教員の職を退くことを余儀なくされました。
社会的な立場や安定的な収入といった面での苦労は否めませんが、
同時に古い価値観から解放されたことで、新たな「自己決定」の旅が始まりました。
この過去の出来事を通じて、
私は世の中に「自分のことは自分で決める」という価値観がどれほど重要であるかを痛感しました。
公務員や学校教員といった伝統的な職業に縛られず、
自分の人生を自分で切り開くことができる自由さに気づいたのです。
その中で、英語が私にとって強力な武器となりました。
英語はダイレクトでパーソナルな表現が可能であり、
他者とのコミュニケーションを円滑にするだけでなく、自分自身をより明確に理解し、他者に理解してもらう手段となりました。
これはただ言葉を学ぶことだけでなく、新しい視点や収入を得る機会にもなりました。
例えば、英語を通じて異なる文化に触れ、様々な人と交流する中で、
自分の人生や価値観に対する新しい考え方が芽生えました。
英語が提供する広がりと深みは、
他に追従して息苦しさを感じている人々にとって、新しい可能性を切り拓く手段となりえるのです。
私は今、社会的な立場や安定的な収入という古い価値観に縛られず、
英語を通して自らの未来を切り開いています。
この言語がもたらす自由な表現は、
他者との繋がりや理解を深め、自分の人生において主導権を握る力となりました。
英語は単なる言葉ではなく、

Today, let me share a bit about myself.
Last year, due to a recurrence of "Idiopathic Hypersomnia," I was forced to resign from my public teacher's position.
The challenges in terms of societal status and stable income are undeniable.
However, at the same time, being liberated from old values marked the beginning of a new journey of "self-determination."
Through these past events, I keenly realized how important the value of "deciding for oneself" is in the world.
Unbound by traditional professions like civil servants or school teachers, I discovered the freedom to carve my own path in life.
Within this journey, English became a powerful tool for me.
English allows for direct and personal expression, not only facilitating smooth communication with others but also serving as a means to better understand oneself and be understood by others.
This wasn't just about learning a language; it opened up new perspectives and opportunities for income.
For instance, through exposure to different cultures and interacting with diverse people via English, new ways of thinking about my life and values sprouted.
The expansiveness and depth that English provides can serve as a means to explore new possibilities for those feeling stifled elsewhere.
Currently, I am not bound by traditional societal roles or the notion of stable income.
Instead, I am forging my own future through English.
The freedom of expression that this language brings deepens connections and understanding with others, empowering me to take the lead in my life.
English is not just a language; it became the key to unlock the door to a new value of "self-determination."
