In the world of decentralization, a new challenger has appeared in the crypto space. We are, of course, talking about NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens. The technology behind it is amazing and its potentials are endless for what can be achieved with it. The main use for it? Artwork.

But in what sense exactly? For a long time, as far back as we can trace expressionism and art, artworks have been stolen and fraudulently claimed by others throughout history. Even in the modern day, we still have the same persistent problem on a daily basis. NFTs aims to solve that by linking the art to the artist directly. Finally, artists can be more recognized for the art that they put out without fearing the art being stolen.

What would also happen is the fact that many upcoming artists throughout the decades would sell their art for pennies just to get by, and that art would then become very expensive and be sold for exorbitant amounts of money, whilst leaving the artist with nothing in the end. The technology and idea behind NFTs aim to alleviate that.

But what has happened to the NFT space in the past couple of NFT years? It has grown a lot and still has a long way to go. But one of the things with NFTs lately was that many of them were severely redundant in their artwork, leading to many people wondering how it all became so popular and expensive in the first place. There are thousands of NFTs being minted daily, but many of them just seem to look very alike.

In comes the new player in the game, MudSquad NFT. A community gathering many extremely talented artists, all coming together to create amazing art. But not just for a collection and minting, but also to give more of a refresh of the entire NFT scene, which has been pretty stable for the past year.

What do we mean by that? If you were to ask anyone that’s not into NFTs what they think of when you say ‘NFT’, they would most likely mention the Bored Ape NFT collection or that ‘they’re just images of heads on blank canvases. Sadly, that’s not far from the current state of NFTs. Many people don’t invest because they don’t see what the NFT space offers.

That’s the goal MudSquad strives to achieve, to make NFTs something else rather than simply heads posted on blank canvases in solid colours. And the NFT space needs such a refreshing project since too many people to view it as a useless cash grab, whilst the NFT space has so much more to offer. NFTs are well on their way to becoming our entire future when it comes, not only to artwork but many different things, even such as personal and sensitive information, data, etc.

The space is there, and the potential is even greater. The NFT space is at a standstill, and it needs a fresh start, another boost in the public eye for people to see more of its potential and to get engaged in that space. NFTs are not something to gatekeep, but a show of an amazing piece of technology that we are yet to discover fully.

This MudSquad refresh may just be what the NFT community needs and many alike to refresh the public image of this amazing technology that is slowly changing the artwork space. With a fairly small following, an amazing artist, and an inspiring roadmap, we’d recommend you keep an eye out on their socials for a bit. The minting process isn’t far away either, so you may want to get in on it whilst you can. We sure will!
