（沖縄慰霊の日）
沖縄県では、6月23日を旧日本軍の組織的な戦闘が終わったとされる日として「慰霊の日」に定めています。沖縄戦最後の激戦地・糸満市摩文仁の平和祈念公園では、午前11時50分から「沖縄全戦没者追悼式」が行われた（琉球新報）。Okinawa Prefecture designates June 23 as "Memorial Day" as the day on which the systematic fighting of the former Japanese army is considered to have ended. At the Peace Memorial Park in Mabuni, Itoman City, the site of the last fierce battle of the Battle of Okinawa, the "Memorial Ceremony for All Okinawa War Dead" was held at 11:50 am.
玉城知事は平和宣言で「抑止力の強化が地域の緊張を高めている」とした上で、平和を願う「沖縄のこころ」を国内外に発信することが世界の恒久平和につながると主張した。最後に世界各国と交流による信頼関係の構築の重要性を訴えた。In his peace declaration, Governor Tamaki stated that "the strengthening of deterrence is increasing tensions in the region," and asserted that transmitting the "Okinawan spirit" of peace both domestically and internationally would lead to lasting peace in the world. Finally, he emphasized the importance of building trust through exchanges with countries around the world.
