Chapter 1" the relation between economic freedom and political freedom.

I'll try my best to summarize the essential economics book, "capitalism and freedom" written by Milton Freedman, by English and by each of chapters. I'm still studying English, so here in my summarization could be found many mistakes, though. Hence, if someone finds my mistakes, it'll be very welcome for me to be indicated.

In chapter 1, his argument is clear and easy to understand. What is the main point of this chapter is that
economic freedom means political freedom. And economic freedom guarantees individual freedom. He quoted various examples when regulation of economics had brought about collapse of individual freedom, such as right after WW2, the man was banned to enter US and so on.

He also said, however, government has some roles to protect freedom. "the existence of a free market doesnot of course eliminate the need for government." he said, "On the contrary, government is essential both as a forum for determining the”rules of the game” and as an umpire to interpret and enforce the rules decide on"- p15, L9

Well, so what kind of freedom can guarantee our freedom? He mentioned the word "laissez faire". Even if socialists, he hates them, want to do the causes to change the world, they should not be regulated by governments. Because whatever people want is regulated, that means there is no freedom. So, if they do the causes which is wrong and old from someone's view, it does not matter. If people support that causes, as long as under free circumstances, there will be no problem.

No one can deprive freedom of anyone.
