　開催目的
  • 東日本大震災をはじめとする近年の大規模自然災害に関する経験・教訓を各国と共有します。
  • 災害に強い社会の構築に向けて，防災に関する主要テーマにつき議論を行います。
  • 2015年の第3回国連防災世界会議（我が国は開催意図表明済み）におけるポスト兵庫行動枠組策定に向けた議論を提起します。

主催，共催

　外務省他，国内関連省庁，JICA，関係地方自治体，関係国際機関

出席者

　各国の外務大臣，防災担当大臣等の閣僚クラス，関連国際機関（UNDP，UNISDR他）の長や専門家，市民社会・民間の代表の出席が見込まれています。

　この会議は公開の会議であり，仙台国際センターでの7月3日，4日の全体会合，ならびに7月4日の一関市，石巻市，福島市での分科会いずれも傍聴が可能です（日・英同時通訳対応となっております）。全体会合については申込多数のため傍聴登録を締め切りましたが、分科会については若干の余裕があることから6月22日（金曜日）まで締切を延長いたしますので、分科会の傍聴を希望される方は6月22日（金曜日）までに以下のサイトよりお申し込みください。
（会場の都合により申込者多数の場合は傍聴できない場合もあります。）
　なお，サイドイベントの観覧には登録は不要です。

Objectives
  • To share experiences of and lessons learned from recent large-scale natural disasters, including Great East Japan Earthquake
  • To conduct discussions at ministerial level on the major themes related to disaster reduction in order to build resilient societies
  • To support discussions on establishing post-Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) in the third World Conference on Disaster Reduction in 2015 (which Japan has announced its intention to host)

All sessions of the Conference (Plenary Sessions and 3 Breakout Sessions) are open to the public. (Simultaneous translation between Japanese and English is available.) The registration to the Plenary Sessions was closed because the capacity has been fulfilled. The registration to the Breakout Sessions can be made until June 22.
