DVD

I love watching movies at home. Of course I like watching them at theater too, because of the high quality sound and large screen. But watching them at home has a lot of charm for me.

First, if I watch them at home, I can eat or drink something, and even stop watching and use washroom anytime I want.
Additionally I have to say about differences of their costs. I have to pay 1800 yen to watch movies at theater, if I use some discounted tickets, it will costs at least 1,000 yen. On the contrary, watching them at home costs free. Even when I rent DVDs, it costs at most 300 yen. That's inexpensive.
Moreover there is no other disturbing people like speaking at theater. I think my home is ideal environment for watching movies.

Therefore I prefer to watch movies at home rather than at theaters. I watch them almost every weekend, in particular, Saturday is the best day to watch. I usually watch two or three DVDs on Saturday.

So now I am worried about DVD addiction.

ITALY

If I could go any country, I will choose Italy. Actually I have been to Italy five times in these seven years. But I'm never bored with it.

What are the Italian attractions ? I would say "everything". Historical architectures, beautiful sceneries, friendly people, amazing cuisine are sure come to my mind. There are everything what we want for travel.

Although I appreciate Italian features, the first time I went there was not so enjoyable. It was seven years ago and I was junior at university. I went Rome, Florence, Siena, Naples, Verona,Venice and Milan. Though I had been so looking forward to the travel,my mind preparation was not enough. I forgot to mind the fact that Italy is not Japan. In other words, I took it granted that I should feel safe as same as Japan because Italy was very famous for trip.

But that was fantasy. I had to pay attention to the shop clerks whether they cheated me or not and I had to watch my belongings anytime not to be stolen. That was so exhausting. Due to the experiences, I felt Italy was not so attractive country when I got back to Japan.

But now, I found that since Japan is the safest country, I was completely peace-addicted. Italy is one of the safest countries too. Then I can recognized real Italian witcheries what I mentioned first.

In today's environment, I love Italy very much. I hope I live in Italian pastoral town someday.

War time

When I was shopping at Shinjuku, I took an extra news that said North Korea had attacked South Korea. That's very shocking. As we know, South Korea is the nearest country of Japan and the place where the incident was occurred is so near from Seoul(Capital of South Korea).

Regrettably, the news told a number of citizen was injured due to the attack from North Korea.
Of course I know the situation between two country. In March, as North Korea attacked South Korean battleship, a lot of marines were died. But citizen was safe until today. I am worried about a relation between two countries and power balance in Pacific basin societies.

All TV news covered the conflict and one of them mentioned a history between two countries. I was very surprised because of a fact that two country have been at war with since 1950. They have been just under a flag truce. Originally they were same ethic and even one nation. North and South Korea are like Tokyo and Osaka. That way, I think it's like a civil war. Fight between same ethic is so miserable. I hope no more victim and immediate settlement.
