I think it's a bit late to write about 2014 but who cares lol
Anyway it's my first time writing in English here, but my Japanese isn't good enough to express about how I feel about what happened in 2104 (my English sucks too but... Orz) so I gave up and decided to write in English instead lol
Okay first,
I learned, a lot, in 2014. I learned how to speak in public, I learned how to teach, I learned how to work, I learned about how to live in a totally different environments, heck I even learned how to deal with, well, you know lol
2014 started with me writing my paper lol
I still remember the sounds of the fire crackers annoys me so much that it actually makes my mood fell down to the bottom of the earth at new year's eve lol
Not to mention that at that time my paper was far away from done at it frustrates me lol but looking at it now, it's brings such a nostalgic feeling lol
2014 is much much better than 2012 and 2013, 2012 was hell for me, it was the time that I don't want to remember, I don't even know how I survived 2012 but I'm glad I went through it because 2014 was amazing, so far, it was the best year of my life.
2013 was my healing time; hang outs, concerts, shoppings, karaokes, all fun stuffs. Well that year someone did force me to face my fear alone but I totally over it now, and it actually makes me stronger and taught me how to deal with the world alone.
And then 2014 comes and it pays all the hard work.
It wasn't all smooth though, it was the busiest time in my life lol
So first, at the end of 2013 there was a test for 1 year scholarship in Japan, I took it and made it. So the thing is, the ones who made it can send their application for the scholarship. The scholarship was from the Japan Embassy so they held a test, and the ones who made it could send their application. There was 12 peoples who made it and surprisingly, I was one of them (with not-so-satisfying result lol). So after that I sent my application and I thought I can rest for a while.
But apparently, I can't. So there was this thing called Japan Business Internship Program (JBIP), it was a month of internship program in Japan. At that time I don't know a single thing about this JBIP thing, but one day my friend sent me a message that everyone who pass the scholarship test that I mentioned earlier need to attend an interview for JBIP in the exact same day. I was freaked out, I never do an interview before in Indonesian, let alone Japanese. Part of me didn't want to do it because I was scared, but then there's a little, tiny part of me that wanted to do it because just maybe, it could be the way for me to go to Japan.
So I went to the interview with the other 11 students. All of my friend took longer that 10 minutes and it literally freaks me out because who knows what on earth happened in the interview room. But then my turn came and the interview was super scary, but surprisingly I only need 5 minutes in there and I was so sure that I wouldn't pass it.
But I was wrong.
I passed. I will go to Japan in May and I will work there for a month with a friend of mine, and one of my senior. I was so happy I cried, I call my mom literally in tears. She said she's happy for me, it was literally one of the best moment in my life.
So after that things get busier, I need to write a resume, CV, make a passport and get my visa, so on. But then, another something came.
I was forced to do this I-don't-know-how-to-explain-this-in-English thing, but anyway I need to write a paper and present in English, but before that I need to take all that special class thing (really, it doesn't do any help at all) and it forced me to leave my regular class which makes me feel so stupid because I don't know a thing that my friends had learned.
Not to mention that I still need to take a test for my scholarship in between that time so I was super busy and it takes all of my energy
So after a painful month, the tortures ended lol but it doesn't mean that I can get a rest, my scholarship test, which I thought was a total failure because I didn't answer all of the questions, was not a failure at all.
I passed the test, along with one of my senior. And after that we need to took an interview at the embassy.
I was super scared. The last time I did an interview was in Japanese, but I was talking to my teachers, not a real Japanese natives. Not to mention the scholarship was 1 year studying in Japan and at that times I wasn't sure if I'm ready to leave my home, my family for such a long time.
But apparently I can't go back, so I face the interview with such a little courage, and thank God I wasn't alone in the interview room, there's another 3 students, and there's 3 Japanese interviewer so the tension isn't as hard as my last interview in which I was alone vs 3 teachers.
So when the interview ends, I believe that I didn't make any grave mistakes in my answer but I don't have any confidence to pass. Because all of the students who came in with me was geniuses. Their Japanese was way beyond me, and I wonder what am I doing there with a basic Japanese while the others can speak way better than me.
Anyway, after that, they told me they would inform whether I pass or not by phone so I didn't have much option. So I wait for it, until one day when I'm in my Kanji class, they called me and said I passed the interview.
And it was chaotic, I was so happy and scared at the same time. All of my friends makes fun of me saying that they'll graduate first and I'll be all alone lol but I knew they were joking and they did say they're happy for me which I appreciate it a lot
And this is where everything gets real busy. I need to get some documents, gets a check up, and so on. Not to mention that there's a thing called KKL which meant that all of the students in my year need to study out of class for total 18 hours. And the students their self need to figures out what to do and where to go, and it got intense lol not surprised though
Soooo I got sick at that time, and pretty bad too lol fever came for about three days, but I gets me a little rest, which was nice lol
So this in this KKL thing we will guide Japanese people, went to a Japanese school in Jakarta, and have a trip to Bandung and Jogjakarta. It was super fun and I get to learn a lot, but planning it wasn't as much fun as doing it lol
After that, because I was in academic college I need to learn how to be a teacher, so there was this task where I need to act as a teacher for my friends (who'll act as my students) and this is called micro teaching. This is also stressful lol because I'm not a pro in public speaking, I'm scared of peoples' stares and I'm scared of how they'd judge me so I know I didn't the well in this task, and I was right lol I got a B, but I still pass so I won't complain lol
Day by day passed and May is coming, which means that I will go to Japan soon, but before that I need to write a proposal about how my graduation thesis would be and this is killing me. We need to present this proposal, and My presentation day was 2 days before I went to Japan. But the worst is yet to come, it turns out that my proposal wasn't good enough and I need to rewrite it before I went to Japan. And I need to do a presentation again 1 day before I go. One sleepless night and some tears was shed but I managed to rewrite the proposal and nailed the presentation lol and then the time comes.
JAPAN!!
I was suuuuuuper excited lol
Japan is my dream for about ten years lol and the day I finally able to go there has come, not to mention that it was my first airplane ride and it freaks me out
I'm not wrong though, I hate airplanes

So I arrived at Kansai International Airport at 2 in the morning, arrived at the share house in Osaka at 4.30 and finally after more than 9 hours of flight, 5 hours of plane delay and 24 hours with no food, I was able to rest lol
That one month was amazing. I learned how to work in a law office, I even went to a trial! How amazing is that? The people from the office was super nice, they treat me to lunch and even gave me presents!
I also went to Kyoto, and I met some awesome cosplayers there, I even make friend to one of them and it was such an amazing experience. Kyoto was a great city with great view. I really want to go there again, it was amazing.
And I went to Nara too! The deer was soooooo cute!! I love any furry animals lol I want to take one home with me if I can lol and we also do a picnic there, and it was so lovely
The best part is yet to come, UNIVERSAL STUDIO!! Too bad the Harry Potter arena wasn't opened yet at that time BUT I STILL HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE THERE LOL
I had my first ever roller coaster there lol and it was thrilling and wow I can't even describe how much fun I had back there lol
But it's only a month so before I knew it, the tome to go back home has come. It's such a magical month for me lol I made new friends, got new experiences and it's really fun because it's a place where I've always dream of, and I'm so grateful that I'm able to experience this.
So I went home to Indonesia and feel so glad to meet my friends and family again. It was only a month but it was the first time I was away from my family for that long and I missed them so much.
But, not long from there, the embassy told me that I got accepted in one of the uni that I signed up for, and that means that I will go to Japan, again, in the same year. I was thrilled and I can't even know how to describe this. I was so happy but scared because I just got home but I need to go again, and this time, for a year. But after some talk, my parents told me that they trust me and somehow it gave me courage and it made me think that I can actually do this.
The day after that, they told me that I was accepted in Yokohama National University. It was my first choice, and I was so happy I could go there, because when I sent my application I'm still at N3 level, but they say that N2 is the requirement for YNU so I don't get my hope high but I made it there! To be honest at that time I'm a bit sad that I didn't went to Osaka (my second choice), I had a lot of friends there and I already know the area so it wouldn't be that new for me, but now I'm really glad that I go to Yokohama!
So after that I started to get busy again, gathering documents, making another visa, buying things for winter lol (the last one was hella fun though lol) and before I knew it, the end of September was drawing near.
So after some emotional moments with family and friends, I fly to Japan again.
I made a lot of friends from a lot of different countries here. They're all great people with great personality, I'm so glad that I made it here because Yokohama is such a nice place to live.
I live in a dormitory here, an hour away from college but it's such a nice place to live and I'm already in love with my bed lol so I can say that I made a new home here for a year and I hope everything will be great!
Some of my friends here will go overseas too next year, some to America and the other to Australia. To be honest, I still wanna know them better but I know they're all dreaming to go overseas too just like me, so I understand their feelings perfectly and I just want them to have the best moment of their lives too so I want to support them!
My college life was, normal, I guess? Lol
Not doing much, but this class called Iaido was super fun because I could learn how to swing sword in this class lol
My love life? Well, that one is not going too well LOL

Aaanyway, it's almost three months since I got here and things is getting better and better, I think homesick is going it's way with me but I'll work hard to get rid of it! Lol
I'm in the end of winter vacation now but the last 3 days was a blast! Finally I met my twin sister here in Japan lol
It brings fun to a different whole new level when you travel around with a best friend—a twin sister—who has the same dream with you. Words can't describe it lol I'm just so so so soooo glad that we're in this together!!
So sad that she'll go back to Indonesia in Spring, but let's hang out and do crazy stuffs again before you went home! Can't wait to see you again!

Aaand before I realize, this post has become tooooo long lol
I just want to write about things that happened in 2014 so in case I forgot something I could just open this page and feel that amazing feeling again!
So here I am, at 3.30 in the morning, can't sleep lol but writing this makes me sleepy somehow so I might just go to sleep after this lol
Anyway, thank you God for making 2014 such a wonderful year, I know it won't always be as amazing as 2014 but I believe I still have more amazing years to come!
