このたびぷあぷあより全く新しい種類のウクレレ楽譜集「Old Hawaiian Songs」を出版いたしましたので、ご紹介いたします。
この本はちょっと変わったテーマで企画いたしました。すなわち
１）ウクレレを中心にしたハワイアン・バンドが作れるようにハワイアン曲の歌詞、ボーカル・デュエットのパート譜、そして大変簡単なウクレレのイントロとソロのタブ譜をひとつの楽譜にまとめて表示しました。
２） すべての曲を見開き２ページに収めて見易くしてあります。
３) 添付CDには左チャンネルにベースとウクレレによる伴奏が、そして右チャンネルにはウクレレ・ソロとボーカルが入っていますので、両チャンネルを同時に再生すれば普通のステレオ演奏となりますが、左チャンネルだけを再生すればカラオケとなって各自のウクレレ・ソロや歌を加えて演奏することや、別な録音機で録音して自分だけのアルバムが作成できるようにも考えました。
４）それぞれの曲のアタマにはカウント音が入っているので自分でCDに合わせて演奏する際に役立ちます。
５）すべての曲のキーをC、F、Gの三種類だけにして難しいコードをできるだけ避けています。
６）同じ曲でも女声と男声でキーがことなるので、何曲かはその両方を収めてあります。
７）本のタイトルのように古い曲（トラディショナル曲やハワイ王室メンバーの曲）が中心のため、歌手の歌い方にも微妙な違いが有りますので、できるだけそれらの歌い方を譜面にしてあります。
８）ウクレレ・ソロはローG用と明示された数曲を除くほとんどの曲をハイG用にアレンジしていますが、ローG調弦のウクレレを使った場合には収録したすべての曲を演奏できるようにしてあります。
９）解説文を英語と日本語の二ヶ国語にしてあります。

book recently.
This book is designed based on unique ideas as following concepts.
For the people who are forming “Hawaiian Music Group” mainly by
ukulele players.
The common structure of each songs are: followed by an
introduction part played by ukulele, vocal solo for 1st verse and ukulele solo
for 2nd verse before “Bridge” and conclude by vocal duet.
All of songs are printed in facing 2-pages only, therefore, no
need to turn over the pages during playing or practicing.
The Left Channel of attached CD contains accompaniments of
Ukuleles and Upright Bass. And the Right Channel contains Vocal Solo, Vocal
Duet and Ukulele Solo. This means when
you playback both channels together, you can enjoy music as normal stereo music
CD, and if you playback the Left Cannel only, you can use this CD as “Karaoke
CD” or “Music minus one CD”.
At the starting part of each song have a “Tempo sound by Claves
tone” so that you can start the music in tempo by listening this sound.
The keys of contained songs are limited in C, F and G only. And
chords are chosen as simple as possible.
Some of songs are in both male vocal and female vocal in
different keys.
The vocalists in this CD sung in their own interpretation for
songs, therefore, melodies that they sung are not exactly the same as widely
published songs.
3 songs out of 15 contained songs are arranged only for “Low-G
tuned Ukulele” and other 12 songs are arranged to play either “Low-G” or “High-G”
tuned Ukulele.
The explanations of this book are written in English and
Japanese, so that this book can be sold to English speaking people and Japanese
speaking people.
Retail Price in US is $ 19.95 + tax and in Japan is 2,500 J-yen
+ tax.
