Thru out centurys the country of the rising sun was not accessible to the entry of foreigners to any of the almost 7 thousand of the Japanese home Islands was banned. More or less open to visitors, the country became about 150 years ago.
It was then that the powerful integration of the Western technologies began to form the image of modern Japan, in which the skyscrapers of glass stay side by side with old wooden pagodas, and the ultra-modern trains "fly " with a speed of 300 km per hour on the archipelago with the leisurely pace of life in the Patriarchal province.
The Japanese are not in a hurry to completely copy the Western model of life, taking all of the most advanced, technological and effective, they still preserve the way of life of the historical traditions.
For example the whole country go in the spring contemplate the sakura trees in bloom, and in the autumn admire red maple forests.

Classical ballet for the first time appeared in Japan in 1912, when there came Italian choreographer Giovanni Rossi, who in the period of 3 years teaching dance in the theatre "Тэйкоку Гэкидзе ". In 1922 in Japan toured the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. Since that time in the country grow a huge interest in classical choreography.

Founded in 1992 by dancer, teacher and choreographer Yoko Watanabe who study ballet in Tashkent choreographic school USSR and character dance at the Moiseev dance academy in Moscow Russia.

Ashigara ballet Company is none profit organization which represent and develop art of the classical ballet for a wide range of the Japanese viewer. We recruit strong skilled ballet dancers for participation in our seasonal projects.Rehearsals take place on base in Japan. In repertoire along with well-known performances three original ballets which based on classical and characteristic dance choreography and also the concert program consisting in divertissements and folk-scenic numbers.
Artists willing to participate in our projects have to go through professional selection having to provide the following information:
