株式公開買い付け(TOB)を実施し、TEAC株の54.6％を保有するフェニックス・キャピタルがこれに応じる模様、買収額は約48億円です。TEACはTOBに賛同しているとのこと。 【関連記事】
TEACは、1956年に東京電気音響株式会社として設立した、老舗の音響機器メーカーです。2007年には東京都武蔵野市(*)から同多摩市に本社移転し、この頃から経営が厳しいのかなという印象はありました。先日の東京サウンドに続いて、やはり国内音楽企業の厳しさが感じられますね。
GibsonはFenderと双璧をなす米国のギターメーカーです。TEAC以外にもONKYOに出資しているとのこと。我々ユーザーサイドから見れば、TEACやONKYOからギターとよく整合した製品がでてくることは大歓迎ですので、今後を楽しみにしています。
