I have never written a blog before. I'm not a writer, nor a person who regularly follow blogs. I don't even have an active facebook account to begin with. I am a bit obsolete and boring. And here I am.
My world has been shattered since COVID-19 pandemic. My husband & I have came back to Tokyo with no intention to stay longer than 3 weeks, we are now stranded here due to lockdown and restrictions to return. Lucky us, we have a house in Tokyo. But this house has been in a sad situation since we stayed abroad for the past 5 years. Suddenly without any job and following with the declaration of a state of emergency in Tokyo, I've decided to clean the house bit by bit.
Cleaning hasn't been my specialty my entire life. Usually my cleaning method is to involve some chux or brush with some soapy water. Now here are my new problems. Bear in mind, this house has been neglected for the past few years and there are many stubborn stains. My lazy method hasn't been very helpful which is kinda frustrating. There are so many cleaning products in Japan. Some of them are dedicated to designated areas like kitchen or bathroom, some are for specific purposes like removing mould, mildew, wall stains or others. There are too many of them, but what are they? How to use them? What are the ingredients? And what does the label says? This has become challenging besides the actual cleaning.
I don't intend to be a professional cleaner, which I doubt myself developing the interest in this direction. However, I am more curious about knowing what are the cleaning agents available in Japan and how to use them correctly for the purposes. While I am here, and have no effective plans on what is going to happen in the next few months, this is what I will do for now......until then.
