I am writing a book here I took so many pictures. This is my photo storage My previous blog was too long to upload and I had to shorten it. After charging the phone, we walked down the Heidi’s path trying to find a good restaurant for lunch.

Still can’t find Heidi’s information office.
We went inside for help. This is a wine tasting place. We tasted a couple of glasses and purchased Maienfeld’s red wine. Then I asked for a taxi. I wanted to go to Bad Ragaz for the hot spring. Clara’s grandma stayed there until Clara could stand on her feet. A kind lady who could speak English helped us.
We made it to Tamina Therm! The taxi driver ripped us off We paid 30 franc plus tip for less than 5 minutes drive!
No pictures inside the bath. It has a huge tub pool outside and three tubs inside. San Francisco’s cliff house must have been looking like this if it was still existed. Air pressure in the tubs felt good. Healthy food here. Much cheaper than the hotel. We are having hard time finding cooked food on this trip. It seems like cold cut meat, cheese, and bread only everywhere.
The lady helped us said art exhibition is going on. Are these part of it?
Supposed to be famous Swiss. I only recognized her. Of course! Johanna Spyri.
The return cab was longer, but cheaper. On our way back we realized if we had gone another 50m, we would’ve found a restaurant and known where we were

My friend and I in Childhood thought the light from the sky was God descending from heaven. My mom in God’s hands are there?
After all we ate the expensive dinner at our hotel again All cash spent! Mushroom pies.
At the beginning of February, I dreamt about taking my mom and cousins to my favorite mountain area. Two snow covered mountains with flowers blooming on the field. The dream relaxed me from stressing from work. After the dream, I started to be wanting to come to Switzerland. When I saw the cheap airline tickets, I meant to be here. I watched Heidi episodes on YouTube. I used to watch them on TV when I was a child. Being nostalgic, I finished all 52 episodes When I watch Heidi, I can get away from stress. The highlight of this trip was to go to Heidi’s village . We did it! The weather focast was rain, but it was the best weather! Waking up super early again because of the jet lag, the mountains were cloudy.
A lot of bugs came into the bathroom cuz we kept the light all night. I was killin’em until I found these colorful ones.
As time went by, the clouds were clearing out.

We made to the mountain cabin! This is the replica of the real model, which is located two hours up hiking. My dream came true! I mimicked Heidi’s actions there

I was surprised how comfortable the hay bed was! Wanna live here for a while!

Ken was allergic to hay. I went back inside by myself. Love the smell! I can sleep! There was the sound and thunder lighting simulated in the attic.
After a few hours exploring Tirano, it’s train time! Bernina Express was registered as UNESCO heritage. Sceneries are amazing! There are two train stations next to each other: Italian one 🇮🇹 and Switzerland one 🇨🇭 This is the latter.

This German couple from Frankfurt look nice in this pic. She was friendly, but she kept staring at me even after we chatted. I guess not many Asians in this area or I look weird We are in the reflection.

Arrived at Maienfeld! Right on schedule! Our cab driver was waiting for us. I made sure more than three times with the hotel. Otherwise how can we get a ride in this kind of small town! Nobody was working at the station. We could easily get away from paying for the train tickets between Chur and Maienfeld, but we paid.
We arrived at Heidihof! The cowbells on the cows are the Heidi sound! Exactly the same

This hotel is also a restaurant. We ate dinner. Compared to 4 Euro pizzas in Italy, food is so expensive in Switzerland.
Beautiful morning, fresh air No more allergies from Rome. We had a few hours before our train to Switzerland. Luckily no rain again! Beyond my expectations, this town is beautiful

When Ken takes pictures, he doesn’t care what’s in the frame. I though the stop sign and manholes were ugly, but they show the place really is like. Everything is interesting to me.
So I told him to take me while I was walking. Better pictures.

The place is like an maze. We were trying to come back to where we saw a nice restaurant, which is away from traffic and quiet. Found it! Ken likes this beer so much.

We have to come back to this hotel before we fly back home, but probably that’s the last time we stay in this hotel. The coffee isn’t the same anymore. The room was smelly! I didn’t realize it until this morning. We had to keep the balcony door open all night because the air conditioning wasn’t working. Very noisy street, but I liked it better than Ken’s snoring.
We took trains to Tirano. Our purpose of this trip is to go to Switzerland! Passing rainy Firenze, three hours to Milano. Killed two hours at cafe in Milano. Outside was raining.
It was a scenic route to Tirano. I didn’t expect to see such a huge lake on the way. I wonder what it’s called. Missed taking the photo of the lake. Passing old pretty buildings on the way. Beautiful countryside in Italy.
Here we arrived at Tirano. I felt like my vacation just started I love here already and finally the air is fresh!
We were supposed to stay in the next building, but it was on construction. We were moved to the hotel next door. My original reservation looked better, but I like the modern cute room.

I think this is my original reservation: the atic room. I like the balcony better This crossing is actually made with stone tiles I think. White lines are not painted, but real white stones!
Can’t wait to see Swiss alps!

We managed to find our third destination, Pantheon. So far so good!

We were gonna sit on the bench and check the map, but other tourist stole our place So we kept going. That was a mistake! We walked to the wrong direction. Originally planned to go to Trevi Fountain, but we went back to almost where we came from At that time our feet were hurting and my phone battery just died. From here I used Ken’s iPhone, which is not as nice as my phone. We sat at the fountain in front of this Supreme Court and rested for a while. Nobody was sitting. I was wondering why.
After we checked the map, I changed our route to Spanish steps. This is Cavour bridge.
This is our second time to Spanish steps. I don’t remember flowers were nice like these.
Too many people This is not my type of vacation!
Finally reached the restaurant next to our hotel. About fifteen years ago, we ordered red and white pasta. They were so good and I was looking forward to eating there. 15 years is a long time. The dishes were not good anymore.
Good that Ken liked the steak. He said just like how he cooks lol.
Since this is our second time in Rome, we went to see the places where we didn’t see last time. Skipped all Colosseo and Vatican etc. Interesting sculpture on the street.
We visited Castle Saint’ Angelo. We saw it in the movie, Roman Holiday.
Here we go! We tried to connect to their Wifi to get the audio tour, but it didn’t work. Oh well I don’t really care about the details
I don’t know because of all these concrete dust or pollens, there were white cotton like stuff floating in the air everywhere that gave us allergic reactions
Because of my allergy, I didn’t care to take good photos. This guy looks like he is ready to punch us
We got up early because of jet lag. It started really crowded in the afternoon. We saw too many people in front of St. Peter’s Basilica from the castle I was glad that we were not there.

Arrived here in Rome last night. This year we were going to take my father to Monument Valley, but he wanted to postpone it to next year. So I was checking other vacation options and found this cheap airfare $477 to Rome What a great deal! It’s cheaper than a domestic trip. It’s our second time in Rome. I wanted to go to Switzerland, but the direct flight to Switzerland is triple! One stop is double, so I decided to take a scenic train. Today we are in Rome. I worried about the weather. The focast said it rains everywhere we go, but so far so good This pic is at the restaurant in the airport in Switzerland.
We had to stop there. Ironically we flew to Rome. If we get off and don’t complete the route, our return flight gets cancelled. Might as well enjoy in Rome! This trip is a thrifty one.

About 15 years ago, we stayed this hotel. We liked their coffee so much, but they changed it It tasted like instant coffee.
Wifi sucks here. We have to come to the lobby to be connected.
I couldn’t think about any other things to do other than choirs in LA. Due to my wrist injury, I planned something easier than going to an amusement park. Picked up my guitar from the repair shop and the traffic was already bad. We headed north to our destination for today. After going through LA traffic, it was a nice drive that we could see ocean and mountains full of cactuses etc.
I suddenly remembered Neverland was near by so we stopped there. I heard a lot of fans got disappointed visiting there because it is just the gate. Yeah sure if you are making a special trip there, but it was on our way
Beyond the gate looks like this. It looked far to start seeing something there. Somebody else came and said some fans walk beyond the gate. We didn’t want to trespass the property, so we just took photos and left.

Soon after we arrived at our hotel. Yes my plan was to stay in Solvang!
We always pass this town on freeway and wondered what it was. I thought it was an amusement park, but it is a very cute danish town Nice little area in the hotel property.

We walked around to find a dinner place. I expected a lot of night life here because this is a wine drinking town. The most of the stores were closed early or were closed on Tuesdays.
It was weird to take a picture of the fake windmill because we saw real ones in Netherlands 🇳🇱 last year
This pancake place is supposed to be number one in this town. We’ve got to try it tomorrow!
We almost picked this restaurant, but nobody seated us. Ken didn’t like the smell there so we left. Next!
It’s interesting to see mountains behind a windmill. There was no mountains in the background of windmills in Netherlands.
We peaked in many restaurants and finally decided one. A guy who was in the restaurant kept giving us his thumb up about his food through the window so we went inside. We thought he was the owner of the restaurant, but he was just a customer who happened to check in our hotel. He said he saw us bringing guitars and asked if we are musicians. Yes we are
I ordered all you can eat danish food. I wanted to eat herrings. Glad it was included! I really liked them when we ate at Keukenhof flower park near Amsterdam.

These guys are developers. This town has not only the characteristics of Danmark but also many other European countries specially Netherlands, Germany and England.
Came back to the hotel. We walked almost the whole area. I look forward to seeing stores in sunlight tomorrow.
