Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Toshiba Laptop Battery
Besides the software there’s also a pretty interesting hardware residing inside the Grid 10 tablet: a 16:9 aspect ratio screen (1366 x 768 pixels), the Tegra 2 dual core CPU, 512 MB RAM, 1.3 megapixels front facing camera, 16 GB storage, micro SIM slot, HDMI with battery such as Toshiba PA2442UR Battery , Toshiba Portege 300CT Battery , Toshiba PA2498U Battery , Toshiba PA2452UR Battery , Toshiba LBCTS11 Battery , Toshiba PA3727U-1BRS Battery , Toshiba PA3682U-1BRS Battery , Toshiba PA3727U-1BAS Battery , Toshiba PA2431UR Battery , Toshiba PA2502UR Battery , Toshiba PA2503UR Battery , Toshiba PA3689U-1BAS Battery and USB. I want to point out you to the wider screen (normal Honeycomb tablets have a 16:10 ratio 1280 x 800 pixels screen), which makes this one better for media watching. And speaking of media, you’ll be able to purchase videos from Amazon and sync your DRM-free iTunes 10 videos from your PC/Mac. Grid Frame is the app for productivity (iWork like suite). A Cromeless browser promises full screen navigations while the email client integrates also your tweets and Facebook messages. Fusion Garage Says all over the OS you’ll see the integration with social media services.
The most interesting part is the Grid user desktop, which uses an infinite space that hosts your app shortcuts grouped in a grid pattern. There’s also a mini-map in the upper right corner, RTS games style, which allows you to navigate easily in the giant workspace. There are eye candy effects all over the interface, some of which work flawlessly, while others seem to need more optimization. Just take a look a the videos posted at the end of this article to get a glimpse of how the Fusion Garage Grid 10 tablet looks and works like.
Now one other issue I have with the Grid 10 tablet is its pricing: $499 for the 16 GB WiFi model and $599 for the 3G version. That’s too much for a tablet with a custom UI. Hope Fusion Garage comes to its senses and lowers the price to the $300-$350 level. The smaller Grid 4 smartphone features HSDPA (no 4G) and will sell for $399. No carriers have been contacted at this point, but this could change until launch time. One more thing before the videos: the tablet weights 1.5 lbs (690 grams) and measures 122.4 x 63.9 x 9.6 mm. All with a rubbery back and a very glossy screen.
