Solarflare 10GbE Server Adapter

Welcome to a Laptop Ac Adapter specialist of the Lenovo Ac Adapter

Solarflare, the leader in application-intelligent 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) networking software and hardware, announced a new SPECvirt_sc2010 virtualization benchmark record of 2442 @150 VMs for dual-processor servers with its 10GbE server adapter.

The benchmark configuration included Solarflare's SFN5122F 10GbE server adapter and Red Hat® Enterprise Virtualization® 3.0 operating system on an HP ProLiant DL380p Generation 8 (Gen8) server with the recently announced Intel® Xeon® E5-2690 processor. The record benchmark also establishes the HP ProLiant family of servers as the SPECvirt_sc2010 virtualization concurrent benchmark record holder for 2-processor, 4-processor with battery like Lenovo 92P1106 Ac Adapter , Lenovo 3000 C100 Ac Adapter , Lenovo FRU 92P1108 Ac Adapter , Lenovo 40Y7668 Ac Adapter , Lenovo 92P1160 Ac Adapter , Lenovo 3000 Ac Adapter , Lenovo ThinkPad R60 Ac Adapter , Lenovo ThinkPad T60 Ac Adapter , Lenovo 3000 V100 Ac Adapter , Lenovo 40Y7660 Ac Adapter , Lenovo 92P1157 Ac Adapter , Lenovo 92P1106 Ac Adapter , and 8-processor servers. All three record benchmark configurations utilize the Solarflare 10GbE server adapter with its highly scalable architecture optimized for virtualization.

The combination of HP ProLiant servers, Solarflare 10GbE server adapters and Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) hypervisor provides one of the highest performing and most scalable virtualization architectures for today's data center virtual server consolidation projects, according to SPECvirt_sc2010 results published by SPEC.

"This record benchmark validates the system-level performance and scalability our 10GbE server adapters provide for all server configurations and especially servers with the new Intel E5-2690 processors," said Mike Smith, VP / GM of host solutions at Solarflare. "Whether a customer is using 2-, 4- or 8-processor servers, Solarflare server adapters provide the highest virtual machine performance and ability to consolidate more workload on fewer servers."

Solarflare server adapters provide the industry's highest line-rate performance and most scalable architecture for today's demanding applications. Featuring kernel and hypervisor bypass, the company's products alleviate I/O bottlenecks and provide IT managers the ability to allocate server I/O resources directly to physical and virtualized applications. Solarflare's 10GbE server adapter also implements a hybrid SR-IOV architecture providing direct guest access for application acceleration while maintaining support for management and high availability features of the hypervisor -- such as live VM migration.

The SPECvirt_sc2010 is a vendor-neutral benchmark from the Standard Performance Evaluation Corp (SPEC) that measures the end-to-end maximum performance of data center servers used for virtual server consolidation. The benchmark uses workloads representative of server virtualization, including mail servers, database servers, applications servers, web servers and file servers. Scaling is achieved by running additional sets of virtual machines (called "tiles") until overall throughput reaches a peak or workloads fail to meet required quality of service (QoS) criteria.
