I have been living in Japan for over 4 months, and will be here until April.
My family misses me and really wants to see me, but it's expensive for them to come here.
So my sister entered a contest online to win 2 free tickets to Japan!
This is what my sister said on her page for voting:
[今、私の妹は日本に住んでいます。父も母も、しばらく彼女に会っていないので、とても寂しい思いをしています。日本に会いに行きたいけれど、とても高くていけません。私は父と母のそんな願いをかなえたくて、日本行のペアチケットが当たるコンテストに応募しました。コンテストは投票制で、いちばん多くの票を集めた人が当選するようになっています。もし誰かFacebookのアカウントを持っていれば、ぜひ私に投票して下さい!みんなの協力をお願いします!

THANK YOU★
I leave for Japan tomorrow!
I can't believe it. FINALLY!
Last week some people at work planned a little going away party.
We went to this bowling alley and bar called Lucky Strike.
It was fun!
My last day at work some of the guys took me to Sonic.
It's a very American style fast food restaurant, but I had never been there yet!
(they just opened them in Michigan this year)
I went to Mexican town in Detroit with my mom and her boyfriend on Saturday.
Sunday I went to a Hungarian restaurant with my mom and dad.
Those were the foods I wanted to eat before going to Japan! haha
It was delicious, but I'm sooo full from eating so much the past few days.
Well, I have to go to bed now. I wake up really early to go to the airport.
Soon I will be in Japan! Goodbye America!

Oh my gush
I haven't updated in soooo long!
I work doubles 6 days a week.
On my off day I try to get everything ready for Japan.
I leave in 2 weeks!
That's so soon...
I have a lot to get done in 2 weeks.
When I'm in Japan I will try to update this more.
I won't be so busy, and I should have extra free time.

I went to Chicago on Monday to see D'espairsray.
The live was really good!!! I hadn't seen them since Japan in October 2009.
I took some pictures on my sisters camera of the live, but I don't have those yet.
(My pictures are sideways again! I don't know why ugh...)
Driving into Chicago.
Before the live.
Work is becoming easier for me now because I am getting more experience.
So that's good! I will be working a lot until I leave, but that's ok!
it will make time go by so fast o(〃^▽^〃)o
I got coldstone after work the other night...
the cake batter ice cream is my favorite!

I have been so busy at the restaurant.
I'm working 6 days a week 11:00am - 11:00pm everyday.
But I'm doing ok! making good money, and I like my job
Soon I will be in Japan, so I just work hard to make time go by fast.
Yesterday we had over 100 people make a reservation!
(I don't know why these pictures uploaded side ways, but i'm too busy to change it)
34 people were in the Tatami room.
That's more than they have ever had at one time in the room.
26 people were in the Karaoke room.
19 people were in the B room.
We had a party of 9 and 10 in the main dining room, and a party of 6 in the sushi dinning area.
(I don't have a picture of the sushi area)
Because we had so many reservations, the walk in customers made it so busy.
Every seat in the restaurant was full!
I had so many tables, but tips weren't that good because they were all Japanese customer.
Since you don't tip in Japan, Japanese customers never tip as much as Americans.
We had 6 servers working at one time, but it was still a lot of work
I also started bartending this week!
I worked Monday as a bartender for the first time by myself, and tomorrow I will too.
Most days I am a server, but i like bartending because it's an easier job haha.
But serving is where I make the most money.
Monday we had a big tatami party, so that night I served almost 35 ASAHI!!!
It's crazy how much beer we sell every night!
Every night I have to stock all the beer. There's so much beer!
We have Kirin Ichiban on tap too.
There's so much shochu, sake, and other alcohol.
I will have to take pictures of the special drinks we have at the restaurant sometime.
They are really cool!

When I was at the store today a woman came up to me with a video camera and asked if she could record me saying what I would do if I had a million dollars!
First I said I would get help for my sister who suffers from lupus and doesn't have health insurance so she can't get the proper medical care she needs. I would also help other people who can't afford important tests because of not having health insurance. I would also help my family with other things.
The woman had me fill out paper work and said she really hopes I win!
It's a real contest to win a million dollars! I was so surprised. When she put me on the spot and filmed me I just spoke from my heart. They will show the video to judges and they decide who wins. I also get to choose a charity or organization that will get money as well!
Wish me luck...
What if I won??? Wow!
