Hello,
I hope you had an enjoyable obon week last week. I had a great week, starting with a trip to Osaka and the Summersonic festival on Saturday. We took an overnight bus from Fuji at 11pm on Friday night and arrived in Osaka at 6am on Saturday morning. I only got about 4 hours sleep but I was so excited about the day ahead I didn’t even feel tired. The only thing that caused fatigue was the intense heat of Osaka. It reached 37 degrees at its peak on Saturday. Add a few more degrees for being at a festival with 50,000 people and you can imagine how hot I felt! Summersonic is a two day rock festival that took place in both Tokyo and Osaka that weekend, though we only attended the Saturday. There were six stages and over forty different groups playing from 10am to 9pm, so there was plenty to see and do that day. Lots of old and new groups were playing, I had wanted to see The Smashing Pumpkins play live since I was sixteen, so it was great to finally see them. We also took advantage of the sheltered areas where we could hide from the sun during the day. On Sunday we did some sightseeing around Osaka, it’s a fantasti,c bustling city. I tried the famous taco-yaki octopus balls, delicious! We took a night bus back to Fuji on Sunday night, I was so tired after the weekend I slept a lot more on that journey.

まず、大阪にいって、サマーソニック
という音楽イベントに参加しました。
金曜日の夜１１時に富士をでて
、大阪についたのは、次の日の朝の６時でした。
４時間だけの睡眠時間でしたが、とてもエキサイトしていたので疲れを感じませんでした。
疲れを感じたとすれば、大阪の猛烈な暑さでした。
３７度まで達しました
。
それに加えて、５万人の人々によって、数度は上がっていたと思います。
みなさん、どんなに暑いか想像ができますか。
サマーソニックは２日間で行われるロックフェスティバルで、東京と大阪で開かれました。
私たちは大阪で行われた土曜日のフェスティバルだけの参加でしたが、６つのステージで４０以上のグループが朝の１０時～夜の９島で演奏をしました。
私は、Smashing Pumkinsというグループを見てみたかったのです。彼らは、私が１６歳の時から活躍しているグループで、やっとみることができて嬉しかったです。
日曜日には、大阪観光をしました。おもしろい町でした。
有名なたこ焼き
も食べてみました。とってもおいしかったです
。そして深夜バスで、日曜日の夜に富士に戻ってきました。その週末の後は、とても疲れて、爆睡しました
。
