I hope you had an enjoyable weekend, despite the humidity. I saw an air humidity reading of 75% in a room on Saturday. I have never experienced anything like that before. I don`t mind the heat too much, but when it`s humid I feel a lot heavier.
This Sunday I went to the swimming pool. I haven`t swum in about 2 years, and even back then I wasn`t good, so I was nervous, especially because I was entered in a race that day. I was in a race against other foreigners living in Fuji, and some of them were quite experienced swimmers. I can`t tell you the result of the race until after it is shown on TV in July, so you will have to wait until then to find out. I did the freestyle stroke, which is the easiest, but I`m not sure if I was doing it right! I was just happy to get to the finish without stopping!
It was great fun though, I think I will go swimming more often now.

むしむしする日が続いてい
ますが、みなさん、有意義な週を送っていますか。
土曜日は、部屋の湿度が７５％もありました。
今まで、人生の中でそんな湿度は経験したことがありません
。どんなに暑くてもかまいませんが、この湿気のほうが、私にはつらく思えます。
先週の日曜日、私はスイミングプールへいきました。
２年近く泳いでいなかったので、全然泳げませんでした。
なのに、その日にレースにでたのです。緊張しました。
その大会は、「富士市に住んでいる外国人の水泳大会」（あるローカル番組の企画）でした
何人かは、泳ぎがかなりうまい人も参加していました。
その結果については、７月にテレビで放映されるまで言うことができませんので
みなさん、テレビで放映される日を楽しみにしていてくださいね。
私は、自由形に出ました。
止まることなくゴールできたのでよかったです。
とてもよいい経験になりました。これからもっと泳ごうと思います。
