Hello everyone,
Did you have a good weekend? I certainly did, on Saturday I tried a very popular passtime in Japan, baseball batting. We went to a batting centre and I tried baseball for the first time in my life. I found it very enjoyable (when I could hit the ball that is!), although I`m not used to that movement so my muscles were sore the next day.
On Sunday my friend from Ireland was visiting Japan, so my wife and I went to Izu with her. We got a ferry from Shimizu to Izu and had a delicious sushi lunch, before visiting an onsen in a hotel there. The onsen was wonderful, very relaxing. It`s amazing that all of the hot water is coming from the earth below us. We also had a walk along crystal beach afterwards, until it began to rain! We had good weather for most of the day however, so I was happy with our visit to Izu.

みなさんは、よい週末を過ごしましたか？私は楽しい週末を過ごしました。
土曜日に日本では人気のある「バッティングセンター
」に初挑戦しました。
人生の中で野球をやったのは初めてでした。
とても楽しかったです。ボールに当たった時はですが・・・
野球が初めてで、今まで使ったことのない筋肉をつかったので、次の日は、筋肉痛でした。
日曜日は、アイルランドの友人が来日し、訪ねてきてくれました。
友人と私、私の妻で伊豆に行きました。
フェリーで清水から伊豆まで行きました。昼食に、おいしい寿司
をたべ、ホテルにある
温泉にいきました。
温泉はいいですね。とってもリラックスできます。
地球
の下からこんなに沢山の熱いお湯がでてくるなんて、驚きです
。
その後は、ビーチを散歩したのですが、雨が降ってきてしまいました
。
それでも、一日のほとんどはいい天気
だったので、
いい伊豆小旅行
ができました。
