This is what I wrote on LJ. Does this sound like an attack?
It bothers me when those of you who I became friends with because of Alice Nine bash them. I respect that people have different opinions, and I don't care if you don't like them anymore. You don't have to try and justify your decision to me. I'm not going to try to change your mind or anything. I've changed interests so many times during my life, I'm the last person that would ever bother someone about doing that. I'm also not going to stop being your friend just because of that. There's a lot more to people than their interests. I just don't like to hear things like "they suck". There are a lot of bands, visual kei and otherwise, that I don't like, but that doesn't mean they suck.
Now, let me be clear. I'm not trying to tell you what you can or can't say in your own journals. I'm just telling you as a friend, "hey, you know, that bothers me". I'm a person that tends to just get angry and let it fester until I lash out, but that's not helpful. I think a lot of divisions exist between people when we let something eat us up and don't say anything. It's not fair if you don't tell someone when you're really upset. If they don't know, they can't take any action to change it if they want to. It's better to say something. Then, even if you don't influence people to change, at least you made an effort.
