Today’s Pandora blog article offers a review of one of the Pandora Christmas
2012 collection beads; the Festive Feather! My advent calendar article series
showcases the best festive beads and charms from the most popular
brands.
From the two Pandora limited edition Pandora
Dangle Charms
, the Christmas Decoration Kit offers a more timeless
and classical option. The Sweet Christmas kit is festively quaint in it’s
traditional palette. This kit is reminiscent of open fires, hot chocolates,
roasted chestnuts and spiced lattes. Furthermore for those collectors that
appreciate glitter beads, this kit offers a beautiful splash of bronze shimmer.
If ever there is a time to wear glitter beads, Christmas and the associated
party season would be it!
From the initial leaked images of this
collection, the Christmas Decoration Kit was by far my favourite of the two
limited edition glass sets. While I do appreciate festive creations, I also like
Pandora
Alphabet Charms
that offer versatility beyond the holiday season. I
firmly believe this kit offers exactly this. These beads will look stunning with
your favourite little black dress and will otherwise make apt autumnal
creations.
When Pandora released their official campaign images for this
collection, they’d combined the Christmas Decoration kit with some very crisp
ice blues, such as the new diamond bead. It wasn’t a combination that I’d
considered but it really worked. Picking up on this theme slightly, I decided to
try this kit on a Pandora leather bracelet. While the Pandora
Silver Charms UK
did grow in my estimations when i received it in
the sense that i believe when used as a complete set, they create a very sweet
combination, the Christmas Decoration Kit has remained my favourite feature of
the release.
It’s taupe, black and glittering colours will ensure these
beads are wearable far beyond the festive season and for those that prefer to
avoid the cliched palettes, this is ideal. My advent calendar series of articles
aims to showcase the best of the festive beads and charms from the largest
brands. This article focuses on the new Pandora Ice Blue Diamond bead that made
it’s debut with the Christmas 2012 release.
It’s becoming quite the
tradition now for the Pandora Christmas collection to debut a new colour
variation of their coveted diamond bead. Despite the fact that the design is
already known (it’s a glass bead featuring cubic zirconia), I’m always excited
to see what colour will appear. It’s not traditionally festive in terms of it’s
colour scheme or design; there’s no holly, snow flakes or any typical icons of
the holiday season. That said, there’s something deliciously perfect about these
beads for Christmas. Even those that generally avoid all things “bling” often
fall victim to a tiny amount of Christmas sparkle.
In 2011 the diamond
bead was a beautiful and vibrant royal blue. Further to this the Pandora
Christmas 2012 collection featured this same opulent bead but boasting a
universal core.
