This type of store which carries only groceries, product lines typically found in a grocery store and a pharmacy is a relatively new concept for the cheap nfl jerseys world's largest retailer, Wal Mart. This is Wisconsin's fourth Neighborhood Market, Store Manager Steve Rozalowsky said.
There is as much variety in groceries in this 41,000 square foot store, he said, as in a Walmart Supercenter such as the behemoth at 3049 Oakes Road that's five times larger.
Compared with a Supercenter, Rozalowsky said, "It's a quick, convenient shopping option . with an emphasis on fresh and with the same low pricing as a Supercenter."
The store contains 70 percent groceries and frozen foods and 30 wholesale jerseys percent general merchandise lines of the type found in other grocery stores, Rozalowsky.
A big draw for the Neighborhood Market is the pharmacy, said Edward Hermann, a Wal Mart pharmacist who "floats" between stores. The store offers pages of generic drugs at $4 for a 30 day supply or $10 for a 90 day supply.
Energy saving features were a high priority in the project, Rozalowsky said. "Every light is LED, made by Cree," he said, at the local plant at 9201 Washington Ave.
The freezers have sensors so that if no one has walked by in several minutes, the interior lights go out, he said.
Some customers who previously shopped the local Walmart Supercenter said they preferred the Neighborhood Market.
"I love it," said Laurie Rybicki, 50, of Sturtevant, an MRI/CT technician. "I love the convenience," she said, and the proximity to her home. "I don't like the Supercenter environment," Rybicki added. "I had all my prescriptions transferred."
