I took a job as a beer vendor for an NFL football game in my hometown. It was pretty fun, but was one of the most physically demanding things I ever had to do. The job consisted of carrying a tray full of beer and ice water, which weighs roughly 20 35 pounds, up and down flights of stairs and all around a stadium full of sports fans.

How I got this job started with an ad, which I responded to in Craigslist's gig section. I got an email response from the company telling me to show up at a specific time at the sports dome dressed in appropriate attire, and basically go from there. I was kind of surprised to find out how loose the process for getting accepted as a contractor Cory Redding Limited Jersey was for beer vending. Basically, you just had to show up, sign in, and whoever showed up on time got the gig. You give the managers your ID and, in turn, they give you a uniform shirt to go with the rest of your attire. Once you handed them their shirt back, they would give you your ID back at the end of the shift, along with all the money you made.

Although the vibe between all of the other beer vendors was pretty competitive, I was surprised at how willing they were to show me how to be successful with making money at selling. Maybe it was because I was one of Pat McAfee Limited Jersey the only females. To explain how the compensation worked, basically, you got paid $12 per case of beer sold, plus tips. Each case of beer contained 24 beers totaling $192 worth of merchandise at $8 per beer. As far as the tips, most of the customers would give between $1 to $2 worth of tips per beer. In getting to the point, the more cases of beer you sold, the more money you earned and more tips you would earn relative to the amount of individual beers you would sell.

Some of the things I learned about making money as a beer vendor:

1) Always make sure you have some "bank" on you. Bank is basically another word for change. Some of the vendors would actually carry $100 to $300 worth of ones and fives on them as change. The logic behind this was that if you had to spend less time running around in search of change, you could spend more time selling beer. Most of the customers would not have exact change for their beer. Most would have 20s, 10s and sometimes even hundreds, which you would have to break. Without bank, you could lose sales.

2) Keep your money organized. I found this to be one of the most difficult things to do as I would always instinctively ball my money up and stuff it into my pocket in a hurry. But keeping your money organized makes you appear professional and helps you to be efficient at handing out change and prevent losing money.

3) Try to be the first one in line. As soon the vendors were let into the stadium, it was like a race. Everyone would rush through the dome to get to their designated room first to get issued their beer as http://www.coltsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-ADAM-VINATIERI-JERSEY.html soon as possible. The first ones to get in the line first would be the first ones to start selling.

4) Don't kill yourself in the beginning. Before the game starts, not very many people will purchase any beer from a beer vendor. So you don't have to kill yourself walking around with that heavy tray, screaming at the top of your lungs for people to buy beer from you, because in most instances they won't. Place the beer down in a good location where the customers can plainly see you, and allow them to Pat McAfee Womens Jersey walk up to you at their leisure and purchase beer from you.

5) Don't forget about the nosebleed section. People in the nosebleed section are more likely to spend Cory Redding Elite Jersey money with the beer vendor as opposed to walking to the concession stand simply because they don't feel like getting up and leaving their seat. Also, people in the nosebleed section are more likely to want to get drunk because they can't see the game as well. They are just trying to have as good a time as possible.
