フィリピン首都圏開発局がこのほど
マニラの主要道路エドサにおける路線バスのナンバープレート規制を
15日から開始すると発表した。
末尾番号１と2は月曜、3と4は火曜、5と6は水曜、7と8は木曜
9と0は金曜日に通行が禁止される。
なお、地方バスは首都圏へ入ることも禁止されるという。
このニュースに関連して、ABS- CBNニュースよると
フィリピン首都圏開発局が1導入すると発表した
路線バスのナンバープレート規制に関連して
事前の通達がなかったとして、バス会社各社が
15日にストライキを起こすと伝えた。
エドサを走るおよそ70％のバスが運行を行わない見通しだという。

犯罪が例年増加するクリスマスシーズンに入り
マニラ空港に到着した観光客やフィリピン人海外就労者（ＯＦＷ）らを標的にした
「出迎え強盗」事件の防止に向け
フィリピン首都圏の主要幹線道路を管轄する特別警備隊を再編成するとともに
対象道路を拡大し、検問所を設けて警備強化を図ると発表した。
これに加え、オートバイを使った強盗犯を追跡するために
オートバイ５００台による特別部隊も近く設置する準備を進めている。

11日、フィリピン時間で14日朝に行われる
パッキャオ選手対マルガリト選手の試合中継を
市内のスポーツ施設やバスケットボールコートなどで無料放映すると発表した。
中継の観戦チケットを買う余裕のない貧困層のためだという。
施設などには巨大スクリーンが設置され、入場整理券が配られる。
