フィリピン国内のHIV感染件数は、1984年1月から現在まで
5,729件報告されており、うち852件AIDSを発症しているという。
先月の104件のうち20件が海外就労者（OFW）で
性交渉を通じて感染したことが判っており
感染ケースで言うと、男性が男性と性交渉を持った場合が多く
全体の78％を占めるという
また、感染件数の44％が、フィリピン首都圏で報告されている。

医師法違反
２５日、埼玉県警川口署は医師法違反（無免許医業）の疑いで
フィリピン国籍のタカハシ容疑者（５０）を逮捕した。
川口署の調べでは、タカハシ容疑者は
平成２１年４月下旬ごろから９月２９日までの間
自宅アパートの一室で、医師免許がないまま女性（４０）ら３人に対し
計６回にわたって目尻や口元のしわ取り
豊胸と称して注射するなどの美容整形手術を行った疑いが持たれている。
タカハシ容疑者は、逮捕容疑と認めているという。
