海外邦人援護統計
日本の外務省の発表によると
２０１０年の海外邦人援護統計によると
在フィリピン日本大使館の援護件数は前年比46％増の１３５４件へ急増した。
在外公館別援護件数で
１９９３年から17年間、首位を守り続けた在タイ大使館や
前年２位の在上海総領事館を一気に抜き去り、トップに立った。
公表されている１９８７年以降の同統計で、在フィリピン大使館の１位は初めてです。
