Melchora Aquino de Ramos
1812年に、マニラのカロオカン生まれ。
彼女は「Tandang Sora」として知られており
フィリピン革命の母といわれています。
Tandangは、タガログ語のマタンダのことで
「ソラばあさん」となります。
彼女は裕福な家庭に生まれ
カティプナン（革命軍）のメンバーを財政的に支え
待避所として土地を提供、自らも、負傷兵や病人の看護にあたり
一方、食糧を与えて革命軍を支援しました。
1896年、スペインは反乱罪で彼女をグァムに追放します。
1907年、米国統治時代に91歳で帰国し、1919年、107歳で亡くなりました。
