弾劾審理
フィリピン上院で
アキノ大統領によるアロヨ前大統領の汚職疑惑追及の一環として
最高裁判所長官コロナ氏に対する弾劾審理が開かれている。
１６日から始まった審理では
コロナ氏の不正蓄財と資産隠蔽疑惑に焦点が当てられ
過去の資産報告などが証拠として提示された。
弾劾裁判で検察側は
コロナ最高裁長官の
資産・負債・純資産報告書（ＳＡＬＮ）の資産評価額が低すぎると指摘しており
これに対し、コロナ長官の弁護団は
「検察側の証拠は疑惑に基づいている」と批判している。
この審理は長期化する見通しで
この問題に労力を費やすあまり
「経済政策など他の内政、外交問題がおろそかになる」との懸念も出ている。
