「善良な警官」と表題の付いた報道発表があった。
「賄賂３万ペソを渡そうとした容疑者の親類を逮捕した」との内容。
当たり前のことを
「善良かつ正直な警官がいることを実証した」と宣伝しているわけだが
賄賂の桁が多ければ、どうなっていたことか。
また、警察車両を運転中、児童をはね、死亡させた警官の話。
フィリピンでは被害者らの告訴がないと、立件に至らないケースが多い。
児童の遺族も
「告訴せず、葬儀費用だけを求める」という。
背景は定かではないが
フィリピンでは「警官に恨まれると怖い」と
告訴を諦める被害者は少なくないというのが事実です。

私の妻の姉の旦那も「ポリス」なのだが
いろいろ便宜は図ってくれていたが
どうも「人間として」信用できない面が多くある。

中国の監視船の領海侵入に対し
日本政府が中国側に抗議するなど
両国の緊張が高まっていると報じた。
また中国が、遠隔操作で海域の状況を監視できる
無人航空機を尖閣海域や南シナ海に投入する計画があることも伝えた。

マカティ市のエドサに沿ってあるマニラ首都圏開発局（MMDA）の本社付近で
45口径の銃の弾丸が入った箱があちこちに散在しているのが確認された。
マニラ首都圏開発局の話によると
銃の弾丸の箱は、午前9時ごろ
オートバイのライダーが落とした物であると話した。
銃の弾丸は、デリー警察の保管の下にあり
フィリピン警察当局は既に事件の捜査を行っています。

MANILA, Philippines – Two boxes of .45 caliber gun bullets were found scattered in fro
of the headquarters of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) along EDSA in Makati City on Sunday.
Initial information from the MMDA said the boxes of gun bullets fell from a motorcycle rider who passed by the area around 9 a.m.
Due to the incident, the vehicles taking the northbound lane of that portion in EDSA were asked to stop until all the bullets were picked up.
The MMDA reviewed their CCTV footage but the motorcycle rider with the gun bullets was not caught on camera.
The gun bullets are now under the custody of the Makati Police. Authorities are already conducting an investigation into the incident. – from a report by Dexter Ganibe, dzMM
