支援先フィリピンの子どもからのメッセージ

PARACUPをはじめた当初から支援しているフィリピンの児童養護施設。
そこを卒業して大学を出た子を前回のPARACUPに招待しました。
実際に自分を支援してくださった多くのランナーに出会えたことを
とても、とても感謝していました。その彼女からのメッセージです。

親愛なるPARACUPのランナーのみなさん 
フィリピンだけでなく世界中の子どもたちを助けてくれる皆さんのたゆまぬ支援に感謝しています。
皆さんのおかげで、子どもたちは夢を実現し、より良い未来に向かうことができます。
ロサリンと私が昨年東京に招待された際、PARACUPの会場にて皆さんの何人かにお会いすることができ
てとても嬉しかったです。
PARACUPのイベントを見ることができたことも嬉しかったです。  
PARACUPの皆さんは私にとっての力の源だということを覚えていて下さい。
私は皆さんのことを考えると、もっと頑張ろうと思うことができます。
私がどんなことにもベストを尽くそうと思えるのは、皆さんのおかげで、
私は皆さんのように心の広い人がいることを神様に感謝しています。
フィリピンでも一流の大学を卒業することができたことは、私にとって忘れがたい、達成感に満ちた経験です。
私はとても恵まれ、幸運だと思います。
そして私は、自分の夢を実現することを助けてくれた皆さんのことを一生感謝し続けます。  
これからも、ぜひともPARACUPに参加して下さるようお願いします。
皆さんがPARACUPを走ることにより、子どもたちの人生が変わるのですから。

Dearest PARACUP runners,  
Thank you very much for your continuous support to an event that aims to help children, not only here in the Philippines, but all over the world to reach our dreams and have a good future! 

I am very glad to have seen some of your faces last year when Ate Rosalyn and I were invited to go to Tokyo and witness the event itself. Please remember that you are all an inspiration to me, a source of strength to go on and persevere more. 

You are one of the reasons why I always do my best at everything that I do and I always thank God for big-hearted people like you. Being able to earn a Bachelor’s degree at the premier university here in the Philippines is one of the moments of my life that I consider memorable and fulfilling. It has been a very big privilege that I consider precious. And I will be forever grateful to all of you, for being a part of achieving my dreams. 

With this, I do pray and ask that you continue to participate and run in PARACUP, because by running to this marathon, a child’s life is being touched and changed.
