Hello everyone!

I hope everyone had a good day today. I didn't do too much today. I did a little shopping with my wife in the evening and had Korean BBQ for dinner which was very tasty. Yesterday we went to see Tron: Legacy. I really enjoyed the movie very much, especially the CGI / special effects and the soundtrack by Daft Punk. I saw the original Tron when I was a child so it was a dream come true to see Disney continue the story. I've read that they plan to continue the story in future movies which I think is really cool.

I have to go to work tomorrow. The place that I work at is shut down for a month so that minor and major repairs can be done to the plant which could not be done at any other time during the year. I'll be working nights this entire month because I don't have many mechanical skills yet so I wouldn't be very helpful during the day. I'm not sure what I will be doing this month but I'm sure to find out tomorrow. Usually my work schedule is work 4 days and then have 4 off. For 2 weeks I work during the day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and then 2 weeks from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. My commute to work is about 1 hour each direction so I don't have much time to do anything on my work days besides eat, sleep and work. So basically I live for my days off ^_^

So what do I do for a job exactly? Well I work for a company called Next Era Energy which specializes in all different ways of making energy. We have plants all across the U.S.A. that use coal, gas, nuclear, hydro, solar, wind and more to make energy and sell it to electric companies. The branch that I work for is a solar power plant located at Kramer Junction which is near Boron, CA. Here is a link that you can find out more about where I work and how we make energy.

My title there is auxiliary operator. I work outside all day by myself and use radio communication with a control room operator to run the plant. A usual day for me is to bring the plant online / offline, make demineralized water for plant processes, perform water chemistry, do small periodic maintenance to pumps, motors and other plant equipment and anything else that needs to be done. I've been working there for over 4 years now and I really enjoy my job there. One other thing that I do at my job is I'm an industrial firefighter. I started in September and went to training in Elko, NV in October. About 2 weeks ago I had C.P.R. / A.E.D. training in case someone chokes, has a heart attack, etc. The reason we have a emergency response team on the job site is because the nearest police, fire station and hospitals are about 1 hour away in any direction. So by having our own E.R.T. team on site we can respond to any emergencies within minutes and be able to rescue our coworkers lives. I'm happy I joined the team and hope one day I can help someone who needs it.

Well it's late here in CA so I will end this blog for now. Thanks for reading and take care.

Queenly

Blah Blah Blah-Kitties

Blah Blah Blah-Cordy01

PLEASE RESCUE CODY!

Hajimemashite! Yoroshiku onegashimasu!

My name is James. From today on I will be keeping a blog about my life on here. I will share many things about my life as well as pictures. I hope that
people enjoy reading it and that I make many friends.

Let me tell you a little about my life for now. I'm 35 years old. I was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. Other places I have lived include Arizona, Washington
and now I live in California. I've been married for almost 10 years. I have
one younger brother named Daniel and one younger sister named Amanda. I have
been working at a solar power plant as an operator for over 4 years.

I love many different types of food. My favorites include Japanese, Korean,
Thai, Italian, Mexican food and dishes from the south east region of the
United States. I love sushi, french fries and pizza the best.

I love many different types of music. My favorites include many different forms
of rock music, hip-hop, techno / dance, J-pop, orchestrated and classical. I
really don't care too much for country music.

I love Japanese culture very much. I've been interested in Japan since I was a
teenager. My love for Japan first started with anime and grew from there. I've
traveled to Tokyo, Japan twice and really enjoyed my stay there seeing the
city and visiting family there. I hope I will return to Japan in the near
future.

Well that's all for now. I will tell you more about my life and American
culture in future posts. Talk to you all again soon. Bye!

James
