トップスは1964年に東京の赤坂、旧TBS会館内にオープンしました。
アメリカンスタイルのレストラン「Top's」から始まり、そこで提供されるデザートとしてチョコレートケーキが誕生しました。
当初はレストランでのデザートとして提供されていましたが、多くのお客様からお持ち帰りのご希望を頂いたことがきっかけとなり、店頭での販売も始まり、現在の「トップスのケーキ」として愛されています。
トップスのケーキは創業以来、原材料にこだわり、昔ながらの手作りに拘っています。お客様にご満足いただけるように、丁寧な製法と素材選びを大切にしています。
また、1998年からは甘みを持つオーガニックシュガーを製品に取り入れております（一部商品を除く）。

Tops opened its doors in 1964 in Akasaka, Tokyo, inside the former TBS building. It all began with the American-style restaurant called "Top's," where the chocolate cake was initially created as a dessert. As numerous customers expressed their desire to take it home, Tops started selling cakes on-site, leading to the establishment of the renowned "Tops' Cakes" we know today.
Since its founding, Tops has been dedicated to using high-quality ingredients and maintaining the traditional handmade approach to ensure customer satisfaction. Furthermore, since 1998, they have incorporated organic sugar with a natural sweetness into their products (except for select items).
Apart from their famous cakes, Tops also offers a variety of delicious curry dishes served in their restaurant.
