2010 NFL Predictions Week 8
The 2010 NFL season continues on and as we reach the midway point of the season, there are only a few teams who appear to have what it takes. The rest will be fighting it out for a playoff spot and will result in competitive division races and even more disparity among NFL predictions. Take a look at our predictions for Week 8 of the 2010 NFL season to see how things will shape up. Carolina Panthers at St. Louis Rams
The Panthers finally got off the snide and earned their first win of the 2010 NFL season while the Rams will be looking to end their two game losing streak despite another solid outing from rookie Sam Bradford. The Panthers have ended the Jimmy Clausen experiment for now and will rely upon Matt Moore to lead the way the rest of the season. The Rams defense is surprising toughly and should put up enough of a presence to end the Panthers winning streak at one.
The Bills offense came alive last week with an unexpected 34 point outburst against the normally tough Ravens defense. The Chiefs showed resilience by bouncing back from a tough loss to earn an impressive win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Even though the Bills' came away with an overtime loss, they have shown they can score and for now have found a reliable quarterback in Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel has found Dwayne Bowe again and if they can continue to produce should be able to put up some points on the Bills this week.
Prediction Chiefs 24 Bills 14 wholesale nhl jerseys china
Jacksonville Jaguars at Dallas Cowboys
The Jaguars were blown out last week by the Chiefs even though their star running back combined for over 110 all purpose yards. While they hope their quarterback David Garrad can return to the lineup this week, they will be happy to exploit a Cowboys team that is working on a short week after a grueling matchup with the Giants. The Cowboys offense should have a chance to fine tune any issues against a susceptible Jaguars secondary.
Prediction Cowboys 31 Jaguars 21
Miami Dolphins at Cincinnati Bengals
The Dolphins lost a tough one to the Pittsburgh Steelers and will be ready to rebound against a Bengals team that saw their offense put up 32 points in a losing effort. The Dolphins defense did give up some yards but held their ground when needed. They will need to repeat this against a Bengals team that will be led by a resurging Carson Palmer who threw for more than 400 yards last week. The Dolphins will be ready to maintain their perfect 3 0 road record.
Prediction Dolphins 24 Bengals 17
Green Bay Packers at New York Jets
Despite the injuries, the Packers found a way to earn a tough win over their division rival, the Minnesota Vikings. In the meantime, the Jets had a chance to rest up and recover as they prepared for the second half and a chance to run away with the AFC East. The key to this game will be how well the Packers passing game can move the ball against a tough Jets defense. If the Packers can force enough turnovers, they should find themselves with another notch in the win column.
Prediction Packers 28 Jets 21
Washington Redskins at Detroit Lions
The Redskins defense took a stand and shut down the potent Chicago Bears offense. They will have their hands full this week against the Lions when quarterback Matt Stafford returns to the lineup. The Redskins best method of attack is to keep the ball out of his hands and use their running game to keep the offense on the sideline. The Lions have a solid front four who can put pressure on the Redskins Donovan McNabb. They will use this to force a key turnover that will help decided the game.
Prediction Lions 28 Redskins 24
Denver Broncos at San Francisco 49ers
Just about everything went wrong for the Broncos last week in their sound defeat to the Oakland Raiders. Now they will travel to San Francisco where the 49ers will be trying to capture the same magic for an offensive explosion. The Broncos will be best served if they look past last week and focus on a 49ers team that has proven their inability to move the ball at will. NFL fans should expect a low scoring game that will be decided by a play late in the fourth quarter.
Prediction Broncos 31 49ers 24
Tennessee Titans at San Diego Chargers
The Titans are looking like playoff contenders after they dismantled the Eagles last week by 18 points while the Chargers look like a ship without a sail and a 2 5 record to start the season. The Titans found an explosive passing game with repeated connections between quarterback Kerry Collins and Kenny Britt. The Chargers are hurting and need to find a way to stop the bleeding on both sides of the ball. The Chargers should seem to play up to the competition but it does not mean they can come away with a win.
Prediction Titans 27 Chargers 14
Seattle Seahawks at Oakland Raiders
The Seahawk, who earned a hard fought win last week over the Arizona Cardinals, will need to be on the ball when they take on the Raiders who racked up 59 points against their division rival. The Seahawks defense has continued to produce turnovers with four forced fumbles and one interception. The Raiders will be eager to show last week was not a fluke and will feature their stud running back Darren McFadden. The Raiders offense will come back down to earth and lose a close one to the Seahawks.
Prediction Seahawks 24 Raiders 20
Minnesota Vikings at New England Patriots
In all likelihood the Vikings will be without future Hall of Famer, Brett Favre, as they prepared to bounce back from a loss and face the class of the AFC, the Patriots. Tom Brady will need to improve upon his pedestrian like performance last week and find some holes in the Vikings secondary if they want to come away with a win. A loss by the Vikings is going to put a serious hole in their plans to earn a trip to the Super Bowl.
