after studying abroad

4 months passed since I had arrived in Japan.
The rest of 2011, I just felt happy and comfortable for Japanese life.
Then I went to Hokkaido in January so as to attend the coming of age ceremony.
However, I had troubles with my family, and I started to live alone.
I have been suffered from sickness.
It was my interesting experience.

From tomorrow, school starts and I have to study, working part-time.
In the US, I am afraid to say that I could not study very very hard.
Additionally I did not study enough from December to March.
I regret it a little.
I shall change myself into a industrious student.
I have no time and permission to be lazy.

iBT

今日はTOEFL iBTを受けました。
日本で受けていた時よりも、感覚がかなり違って
未だに信じられません。

特にスピーキング、リスニングは
「同じ試験？」と思ったくらい、感覚が違いました。
日本で受けていたときは本当にしんどい
セクションでしたが、ベストを尽くせたつもりです。

リーディングはあまり変わりませんでした。
ちんたらちんたら読んでいたら
どんどん持ち時間が減ってました。
次回に向けてもっと対策をしなくては、と思いました。

ライティングは、今までノルマの１５０～２２５文字と
３００文字を超えるか、超えないかの瀬戸際だったのに
今回は、ノルマを超えられた上に
時間にも追われずに解くことができました。

iBTを受けることが、楽しいと思うこともできました。
テストを受けるときの気持ちの持ちようって
本当に重要なんだな、と気づきました。

エッセイ

授業で出た課題のエッセイのテーマが、
「自分の発明したいもの」でした。
今の私はどこでもドア一本です。
そのエッセイで今のもやもやした自分を
上手に表現できたので載せようかな、と思いました。
うんこたれな文章で情けないです。

If I could invent something new, I would like to invent a door.
The door is not attached to any walls, stairs, or rooms.
It is just a door. However, when people open the door with thinking their goals, directly they can reach places they want to go.
The door has three strong points.

First, it can save people much time and money.
Just opening the door, they can visit the place they want to go.
In the morning, people have to prepare for going to school or work.
When people cannot get up, they are sometimes late or absent from school or work.
Additionally, when people prepare for a long time, they must be hurry.
However, with the door, they do not need to be hurry.
Furthermore, if people have the wonderful door, no transportation is needed.
They do not need to get on anything: a train, a bus, a taxi, an airplane, a car, a bike, and a motorbike.
It can also save them transportation money.

Second, the door is easy to be used. Just opening the door and thinking of the goals, they can go to places where they want to go.
So children and old people can use the door easily.
Almost everyone can use the door.
If a person owns the door, his family and friends can also use it.
So when something bad happens and transportation is stopped, it is very useful for everyone.
For example, on March 11th 2011 a severe earthquake happened in Japan.
Then electricity was not provided and trains were stopped.
One of my friends was left at her high school and she could not go home.
She stayed at her school with her friends for a week.
However, if she has the door, she could go home without any problems.

Third, the door is made from wood. So it does not need any energy.
No fuel, no electricity, no oil, no gas, and no chemical material are needed to use the door.
So to keep the door is very easy and costs free. The door is very friendly to the environment.

Thus if I could invent something new, I would like to produce the door.
