View this post on Instagram People tend to think that it's easy to raise a trilingual (or multilingual) child if the parents speak 3 or more languages. Not true. It takes a lot of effort, time and money. So far, my son is truely trilingual (English, Japanese and Spanish) but it was not a natural process. It took A LOT of effort from me. One of many things that I have been very careful is to make everything fun and not to make him feel like he is "learning" or "studying" the language. The earlier the introduction of a foreign language, the better.
