Today in our World Countries lesson we took a look at some Asian countries and their capitals. Generally, the students know more countries in Asia than in other continents, so for a lesson on capitals I thought it would be a good idea to start close to home. First we talked about what a capital is, a major city in a country where the government is usually centralized. Then we started going over capitals. We went over a lot of city names! It was really good writing practice, along with some unusual phonics. If nothing else, it's always good to learn more about how big the world is!
今日のワールドカントリーの時間はアジアの国の国名とその首都の語彙を英語で学びました。
生徒たちはヨーロッパより日本に近いアジアの国々のほうがなじみがあるのかよく知っています。
それらの国の首都についてよく学べたと思います。
まず首都は政治の中心があるところだという話もしました。首都の名前から多くの都市名を学べました。また、ライティングもしました。都市の語彙は特別な読み方もたくさん出てきましたがよくがんばってスペリングも書いてくれました。
