Valentine's Day in America

Today I'm going to talk about how Americans celebrate Valentine's Day.

In Japan, on February 14th, women always give gifts to men.

In America, it is backwards. Men usually give the gifts to women, only sometimes women also give gifts. But mostly, it is for men to give gifts to their loved ones. The most common gifts are chocolates, flowers, cards, and jewelry. But, by far the gifts women love the most in America are hand written cards from the men they love. Another great way to celebrate Valentine's day is to enjoy dinner in a restaurant together, this is especially popular with young couples.

We also have no event in America known as "White Day." The only official events when we celebrate love is Valentine's Day, Anniversaries, and Christmas.
