The basic structure of an AI neural network consists of several layers of nodes (neurons) that are connected to one another through weightings.
It essentially includes the following levels:
- Input layer: receives the raw data
- Hidden layers: process the data through complex calculations and weight adjustments
- Output layer: generates the final result
Functionality of an AI neural network
Each node receives input signals, processes them using an activation function, and passes the result on to the next layer. The network continuously adjusts the weightings in order to minimize prediction error. This process is called training.
