I am Noriko Suzuka. I am Japanese, living in Japan. I have a systemic disease and aftereffects from an injury.
For many years, I have been looking for a wish granting organization, a volunteer organization that can help patients fulfill their wishes.
However, in Japan, there is only one organization for children under the age of 18, and I was not able to make an offer when I was of that age because of my family situation.
But I have heared that In the United States and the United Kingdom, there are many organizations for adult patients.
So since then, I've been trying to find a wish granting organization worldwide.
However, due to my lack of English and the fact that overseas organizations are based on the concept of "helping local patients in the local community," I was not able to find an organization that could help me as a Japanese patient living in Japan. It was not that easy.
I know that all the Wish granting organizations there collect donations to support the wishes.
So, I am willing to prepare all the necessary expenses for myself since I am a Japanese and living in Japan.
I just would like to ask you to make connections with people who could support my wish come true.
My wish is something I would like to fulfill with・ a help by a Japanese musician living in the U.S., and I think there is a great possibility that this wish can be fulfilled by using communication methods such as phone, zoom, and e-mail.
I know this could be a difficult request to accept, but do you think if there are any wish granting organizations in the U.S. or elsewhere that might be able to support me?
If there is any, I would be very happy.
If it's allowed , I also want to consider being interviewed by the media, so maybe I can make an opportunity of our Japanese society might start thinking of making the organization for adults patients also.
Even if there isn't any organizations that you could introduce me, I would appreciate if you could give me some informations or ideas.
I would also appreciate if you could let me know if there are any American media outlets that would be willing to remotely cover my search for a wish granting organization from Japan.
