Private Japanese Lessons in Duesseldorf

We are a Japanese couple living in Duesseldorf, 

offering private in person and online Japanese lessons for learners of all levels.
Between the two of us, 

we bring a unique combination of skills

 and experience to help you enjoy learning Japanese in a way that truly fits your goals.

 

About Shihoko:

  • Over 20 years of professional Japanese teaching experience

  • Lessons include not only language, but also Japanese culture, history, and fun trivia

  • Able to teach both for the JLPT and for practical communication

  • Can also teach simple Japanese cooking; we can make each other’s dishes and share a meal as part of the cultural experience

  • Languages: Japanese (native), English

  • Available hours: Weekdays 9:00–14:00, 19:00–20:00

  • Rates:

    • Private lesson: €30 / 60 min

    • Group (2 people): €20 per person / 60 min

    • Group (3 people): €15 per person / 60 min

  • Payment: End of each month

 

About Masato:

  • Teaches Japanese in German (C1) and English

  • Experienced working in multilingual Japanese/German/English business environments – ideal for learners who need Japanese for work

  • Specializes in phonetics, helping learners develop clear and beautiful Japanese pronunciation

  • Known for thorough preparation and sincere, detail-oriented lessons

  • Languages: Japanese (native), English, German (C1 level)

  • Available hours: Weekdays 18:00–20:00

  • Rates:

    • Private lesson: €30 / 60 min

    • Group (2 people): €25 per person / 60 min

    • Group (3 people): €20 per person / 60 min

  • Payment: End of each month

Please note: I have a 6-year-old son at home. He won’t disturb the lesson in a major way, but I kindly ask for your understanding in case he is present in the background.
