The Arizona Cardinals have placed outdoors linebacker Joey Porter on hurt reserve, ending the growing season for that four-time Professional Bowl selection.
Porter has skipped eight games having a knee injuries. The 34-year-old former Gambling star is 2 sacks shy of 100 for his career. He decided to have a pay cut, from $5.75 million to $1.75 million, revisit the Cardinals for any second season this season.
Arizona elevated linebacker Brandon Williams in the practice squad to consider Porter's roster place. The Cardinals also re-signed running back William Powell towards the practice squad.
Porter continues to be changed by rookie Mike Acho at right outdoors linebacker. Acho is second around the team with five sacks and leads the Cardinals with three forced fumbles
