Uno Online is the digital version of the world-famous card game. Your only goal is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards.
1. Basic Rules
Each player starts with 7 cards. A single card is flipped over in the center to start the game.
-
On your turn: You must play a card that matches either the color or the number/symbol of the card on the table.
-
If you have no match: You must click the deck to draw 1 card. If that card can be played, the game will usually let you play it immediately.
-
The "Uno" Button: When you have 2 cards left and are about to play one, you must press the Uno button. If you forget and another player reports you, you will be penalized by drawing 2 extra cards.
2. Special Action Cards
-
Skip: The next player loses their turn.
-
Reverse: Changes the direction of play.
-
Draw Two ($+2$): The next player draws 2 cards and loses their turn.
-
Wild: Allows you to choose the color for the next turn.
-
Wild Draw Four ($+4$): You choose the color, and the next player must draw 4 cards and lose their turn.
3. Tips from Real Gamers
To move beyond just "clicking cards" and start winning, keep these strategies in mind:
-
Save your "Trump Cards": Don't use your $+4$ or Wild cards too early. Keep them for your final 1 or 2 turns to ensure you can finish the game regardless of what color is on the table.
-
Dump High Points First: If the game uses a scoring system, prioritize playing high numbers ($7, 8, 9$) and action cards ($+2$, Skip) early. This minimizes your points if someone else wins first.
-
Watch Your Opponents: If you notice a player constantly drawing cards whenever the color is Blue, try to keep the game on Blue using your Wild cards or matching numbers.
-
Use the Stacking Rule: Most online versions allow "Stacking." If someone plays a $+2$ on you, play your own $+2$ to pass a $+4$ penalty to the next person. Always keep a "plus" card in your hand for self-defense.
