We eat lots of preserved foods on a daily basis.
Various kinds of seaweeds, some vegetables, almost all beans, and even tofu
are dried and preserved.
Many housewives pickle vegetables early winter, so that we can eat vegetables for the rest of the season.
Also, frozen and canned foods are sold abundantly.
Lots of fermented foods including miso and soysauce are typical ones.
I'm usually reluctant to buy frozen and canned foods.
You'll never know what's in it.
But I found this canned fish in our food storage the other day.
I bet K bought it since I'd never buy one.
As I got his request, I made today's bento with the can, and he seemed to like it.
Oh well, you are supposed to commend the bento, not the can, honey.
