When the road was extended northward, it was given the name ”Purple Road.''
It was renovated between 1990 and 2000.
More than 400 wisteria flowers are planted here, which is the origin of the road's name.
In addition, over 4,000 trees, including azaleas, lilacs, white birches, and Japanese elms, have been planted, creating a green tunnel that serves as a place for citizens to relax.
(この道はかつて「伏古大通り」と呼ばれていた。この道が北に延びた際に
「パープルロード」と名付けられた。1990 年から 2000 年にかけて改修されました。
道の名前の由来となった400本以上の藤の花が植えられています。
また、ツツジ、ライラック、白樺、ニレなど4,000本以上の木が植えられ、
緑のトンネルが形成され、市民の憩いの場となっています。)
