One of my students injured his hand.

誤って彫刻刀で、左手親指を切った。
During the art class,
he got a cut on his left thumb
while he was working on
his wood curving.
幸い、縫うほどの大きなケガでは
なかった。
Fortunately, it was not a serious injury.
He didn't stitch up the cut.
とにかくホッとした。
I was relieved.
