北海道の面積は、83,450 km²と言われてます。
Area of Hokkaido
これは東京都の３８倍以上。
This is 38 times or more the Tokyo Metropolitan.
一番小さな県である「香川県」の約４５倍です。
It's about 45 times that of ”the Kagawa Pref.”, the smallest prefecture.
と書いても想像できないと思うので、

北海道を本州の上に置いてみましょう。
Hokkaido take place on the Honshu.
