札幌市宮の森のノーマルヒルで行われ、
is made in the normal hill in Sapporo Miyanomori,
高梨沙羅が優勝しました。
Sara Takanashi was won.
１７歳にしてワールドカップ１４勝という
The 17-year-old made an amazing record
とんでもない記録を打ち立てました。
of 14 wins World Cup.
彼女は北海道上川郡上川町出身です。
She is born in Kamikawa-cho Kamikawa-gun Hokkaido.
ちょうど北海道の真ん中にある旭川市の隣町で、
just in the neighboring town of Asahikawa in the middle of Hokkaido
層雲峡温泉が有名です。
Sounkyo hot spring is famous.
小学２年からジャンプを始め、
Started to jump from the second grade,
１５歳で臨んだFISワールドカップドイツ大会で準優勝。
ｒunner-up in FIS World Cup Germany at 15 years old.
以降２６回のワールドカップで３位が２回、
Since World Cup 26 times in third place two times,
後はすべて優勝か準優勝です。

ソチ五輪では、スキージャンプ女子初代女王が期待されています。

ところがロシアが沙羅潰しにかかってます。
However Russia took to kill Sara.
ロシアはジャンプ台の傾斜をゆるくし、
Russia loosely and jump up the ramps,
助走スピードがあまり出ないようにしました。
the run-up speed doesn't go too much.
これは国際スキー連盟の新ルールに適合した新形状です。（1/19加筆）
This is a new shape adapted to the new rules of the International Ski Federation.
高速スタートを得意とする高梨にとって、

助走スピードが出ないということは

ジャンプのタイミングを取りにくいことを意味します。
