7th July is a special day in Japan called "Tanabata" which can be translated into "The Star Festival". 星空

Around that period of time, we usually decorate a bamboo with stars and the Milkey Way made of coloured paper. Also, we make a wish and write it down on coloful paper, then hang it down the bamboo.

Today's photo was taken in my work place called the Self-Access Learning Center (SALC) in a university in Niigata. Our students wrote their wishes in Englishビックリマーク

ダーリンはイギリス人! My Darling is an Englishman!-Make a wish!

Some of them wrote their wishes about their campus life such as "I hope I can get along with my classmates".

The others have more practical wishes, for example, "I hope I get much money for summer vacation." ¥

Or some have very big dreams such as "I want to go all over the worldビックリマーク"

Do you celebrate the Star Festival tomorrow?
