I think it’s because people learn from
their own mistakes and try to make it better.
But what are you doing America?
There is history which absolutely
mustn’t be repeated.
And even if it did once,
you gotta learn from your mistake
and try to make it better.
We’re homo salience who supposed to have
great capacity of “learning”.
2020 America mustn’t let this happen.
I am Japanese.
And my husband is American,
my daughter is JapaneseAmerican.
As his wife, as her mother,
shame on you America.
I‘be traveled and lived outside of Japan
so I now know that
Japan is such a peaceful country.
My husband and my foreign friends
who live in Japan often say
“people stare at me” or “I stand out” but it’s because 98% of population here is Japanese.
So for a lot of us,
it’s rare to see someone who looks different.
Just because they look different,
no one lush out violently at them,
much less murder.
Japanese people are very kind and polite
to people who look different(foreign people)
as long as I know of.
I know it’s coming from our culture
“hospitality”.
But.. because Japan is so peace, and
because 98% of population here is Japanese, people tend to be out of touch with racism.
This tragedy happened in America,
We mustn’t let it go just cuz it’s peace in here.
We have to put this in our mind,
keep thinking and telling about this
for our future and our children’s future.
Because I know that by the time
our children grow up and be adults,
there will be much more foreign people
will be living in Japan.
And if the world that we live in sucks,
we gotta learn from mistakes and make it better.
